Join our Team and advance your career as a Statutory & Tax SME (fixed term till August 2028).
In this role You will:
- Provide expert guidance on complex accounting policies and their application to statutory financial statements.
- Lead the development and implementation of robust accounting processes and financial controls to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process optimization within statutory reporting.
- Proactively identify and implement business process improvements, demonstrating digital tools and analytical insights to streamline operations.
- Collaborate with various internal partners to provide commercial skill and customer-centric financial insights.
- Ensure strong internal control and compliance frameworks are embedded within all statutory activities.
- Support financial reporting activities, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external audits
- Develop and deliver training to internal teams on statutory accounting.
What You will need to be successful:
- Proven experience in statutory accounting and tax compliance, preferably within a large multinational organization.
- Strong understanding of accounting policy and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or IFRS.
- Fluency in English, German is an advantage
- A relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Expertise in accounting processes and financial controls, with a focus on business process control and improvement.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and data analysis skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated commercial skill and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in digital fluency, including experience with relevant financial software and data analytics tools.
- Solid understanding of internal control and compliance frameworks.
- Strong financial reporting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels.
