Responsibilities

Lead testing strategy and execution across complex microservices and frontend/backend architectures
Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks integrating into CI/CD pipelines
Pioneer the use of AI-driven testing solutions including intelligent test generation and defect prediction
Apply responsible AI practices embedding bias detection, safety validation, and explainability checks into QA processes
Collaborate across teams to ensure quality is built-in from the start and promote shift-left mindset
Use observability tools and data analytics to identify systemic issues and improve performance, coverage, and resilience
Lead test strategy reviews, architecture discussions, and mentor engineers in automation and AI-enhanced QA workflows
Stay up to date with AI trends, tools, and regulations and adapt test strategies accordingly

Requirements

7+ years in software engineering in test roles within commercial software environments
Strong expertise in TypeScript and Playwright or similar end-to-end testing tools
Proven experience with API and backend testing including microservices and monolithic systems
Experience designing automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with AWS serverless services and modern DevOps practices
Exposure to security principles in delivery pipelines including IAM, secrets management, and DevSecOps
Strong understanding of AI in software engineering including use of LLMs for test generation and defect triage
Exceptional communication skills and experience mentoring or leading others in quality or test leadership
