Responsibilities

Participate in design, POCs and development of complex tasks
Ensure high-quality delivery by developers
Work closely with architects to communicate, align and implement architecture direction
Align with other tech leads to ensure technical consistency
Take ownership of and drive technical excellence initiatives within Sportsbook
Identify and validate technical improvements
Help Product Managers prioritise technical improvements
Explain benefits of technical improvements to technical and non-technical audiences
Participate in development, testing, code reviews, bug fixing, implementing new features
Maintain and improve existing functionality
Participate in technical interviews
Coach and mentor engineers
Stay up to date with technology and strategically implement new technologies

Requirements

Passionate about building things with strong technical background and understanding of non-functional requirements
Expertise with designing and implementing distributed microservices
Deep understanding of latest C# and .NET framework/core
Experience deploying scalable back-end solutions using AWS/Azure/GCP
Expertise with distributed systems and high-speed database technologies including SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
Familiarity with messaging systems, message queues, and event-driven architecture
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
Deep understanding of coding best practices
Team player who offers help and shares knowledge
Pro-active and drives improvements
