Manufacturer sourcing across China specializing in custom mechanical components, PCB production, and electronic device manufacturing
Pricing, payment terms, tooling costs, and master supply agreements negotiation
Vendor relationship management and backup supplier network establishment
Supplier capabilities, production capacity, quality systems, and technical expertise evaluation
RFQs coordination, supplier selection, and vendor qualification processes management
Requirements translation between internal engineering teams and factory technicians
Blueprints, 3D CAD models, technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical specifications review with manufacturers
Design for Manufacturing (DFM) discussions support and supplier feedback provision
Manufacturing process audits for quality and tolerance standards adherence
Prototype builds, engineering validation, pilot production, and mass production activities coordination
Timelines building for prototyping, tooling development, PCB fabrication, assembly, testing, and mass production phases
Production milestones tracking on-site or via factory check-ins
Supplier performance and production schedule monitoring
Delays resolution by identifying alternative manufacturing methods, suppliers, or expedited logistics solutions
Shipping schedules and supply chain activities coordination

Mechanical expertise in CNC, casting, stamping, welding, fasteners
PCB/PCBA/SMT and electronics components sourcing experience
4+ years technical sourcing/purchasing experience in China with direct manufacturer relationships
Prototype-to-mass-production experience
Native/bilingual Mandarin language proficiency
Professional English language proficiency
Blueprint reading skills
Bills of Materials (BOMs) knowledge
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge
ERP and project management tools experience
Negotiation skills
Supplier management skills
Willingness to travel within China
New Product Introduction (NPI) knowledge
ISO 9001 knowledge
