Responsibilities

Design, develop, review, and test features and user stories following Agile development practices
Contribution to core platform development and integration projects across multiple systems
Shaping the future architecture of the product including designing scalable backend services and prototypes
Collaboration with Product Owners and Engineering Managers to analyze, refine, and document technical requirements
Building and maintaining cloud-native solutions and microservices-based applications
Leveraging AI-assisted development tools, code assistants, and modern engineering workflows to improve delivery efficiency
Supporting the creation and maintenance of high-quality operational and technical documentation
Continuous identification of opportunities to improve engineering processes, quality, and team effectiveness

Requirements

2+ years of experience in a hands-on software development role within a commercial software environment
Strong programming experience with Python and its ecosystem
Strong experience with SQL and relational database technologies
Experience with REST APIs and microservices-based architectures
Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native development, preferably AWS
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools
Experience using AI-powered development tools, code assistants, prompting techniques, or agent-based workflows
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Technology-agnostic mindset with a passion for learning and continuous improvement
Ability to manage own workload, take ownership, and proactively drive solutions
Collaborative attitude and willingness to share knowledge across the team

Nice-to-have

Experience working with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, or event-driven architectures
Hands-on experience with Airflow, Spark, or dbt
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CDK or Terraform
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container technologies, cloud deployments, and GitHub Actions
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Lean software development methodologies
Experience working with Git, GitHub, and GitFlow workflows
Curiosity to learn new programming languages, frameworks, and emerging technologies
