Responsibilities

Contribution to the ID Verification ML team building in-house ML solutions
Delivery of high-quality NodeJS, TypeScript and Python code with simplicity, performance and scalability in mind
Design, build and maintenance of ETL/data pipelines turning raw data into clean, labeled, versioned training datasets
Building and operation of data-intensive backend services across training and evaluation workflows
Support of ML model packaging, delivery and serving into production
Partnership with machine learning engineers to translate research prototypes into high-quality, well-tested, production-ready code
Provision of expertise, review of pull requests and help raising engineering practice across a fast-moving, research-heavy team
Design of technical implementations, breakdown of features into development stories and provision of estimates
Mentoring colleagues and fostering a culture of continuous learning
Recommendation of new approaches to improve team engineering practices
Participation in hiring interviews providing technical assessment and team-fit review
Handling of sensitive data with rigor including data residency and compliance concerns

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience with NodeJS, TypeScript, React, Python, REST, RDBMS, NOSQL backend systems or similar stacks
Comfort operating in a research-adjacent, evidence-driven environment
Passion for building scalable data pipelines empowering ML engineering efforts
Agile and iterative mindset with end-to-end ownership
Experience with cloud data and ML infrastructure, AWS preferred
Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
Understanding of data modeling across relational and unstructured data
Strong experience in automated testing
Excellent problem-solving skills
English language proficiency
