Responsibilities

Contribution to production features across the stack with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres
Building clean, accessible user interfaces (WCAG aware) connected to reliable backend APIs
Writing maintainable, well-tested code including unit, integration, and e2e testing
Participation in peer code reviews
Collaboration with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to break down problems and deliver valuable user features
Assistance in maintaining high service health through logging, metrics, and incident troubleshooting
Continuous learning and application of modern software engineering practices in a collaborative agile environment

Requirements

3+ years of professional software engineering experience
Demonstrated experience with modern web development (frontend, backend, or full-stack)
Strong motivation and curiosity to work across frontend (React) and backend (Node.js/TypeScript) environments
Proven ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies, frameworks, and domain concepts quickly
Solid foundational knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
Product-oriented mindset caring about user experience, code quality, and reliable shipping
Good communication skills and an open, collaborative approach to teamwork

Nice-to-have

Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot
Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, or AWS
Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, or database ORMs/query builders
Prior experience in edtech or working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Understanding of basic web security principles including OWASP, OAuth/OIDC
