Responsibilities

Development of low-level software to integrate new Arm architecture improvements spanning Linux, Android, and related user-space components
Development and optimisation with a focus on performance, energy conservation, and protection
Partnership with teams specializing in Arm architecture and silicon to deliver and incorporate support for new architectural features
Investigation of sophisticated technical challenges across software layers, identifying root causes and leading resolution of performance, efficiency, and security issues
Participation in code reviews on both internal and external forums

Requirements

Proficiency in C and C++
Strong understanding of OS internals such as memory management, scheduling, or virtualisation
Outstanding problem-solving skills
Structured approach to debugging sophisticated low-level software issues
Experience in technical discussions, code reviews, and upstream teamwork in open-source projects
Strong interpersonal skills
Confident written and spoken English

Nice-to-have

Familiarity with Android internals
Familiarity with at least one CPU architecture, preferably Armv8-A or newer
Basic experience with scripting languages and/or Python
Curiosity about learning architecture-specific software development
Familiarity with Rust or another memory-safe language
