Responsibilities

The Applications team builds, maintains, and operates solutions which collect high quality sensor data on
big freight and offshore ships via an embedded device. The data logged on ships is then available to our
customers via SCADA, web and other applications on board. Moreover, we support our service technicians
and customers in case of issues in our on-board solutions. We are a nice and friendly cross-functional team
with colleagues working around the metropolitan area of Hamburg. We work in an agile and
pragmatic way with short decision-making paths.

Development and maintenance of the software products running on our embedded device(s) and PCs onboard and in-house
Troubleshooting in case of operational issues as well as bug fixing

Requirements

Relevant university degree in computer engineering or a related field and/or profound professional experience
Over 2–3 years of professional experience working with .NET (C#) and Go, delivering scalable and maintainable software solutions
Proficient in Message Queue Protocols such as MQTT and AMQP, ensuring reliable data exchange across distributed systems
Experienced with containerization technologies including Docker or Podman, as well as CI/CD pipelines using Git, Bamboo, and Bitbucket
Strong analytical and pragmatic problem-solving approach, with the ability to translate complex technical challenges into actionable solutions
Highly collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, dedicated to fostering transparent and effective teamwork
Customer-focused and quality-driven, ensuring every deliverable meets high standards of performance and reliability
Fluent in English, with additional knowledge of German would be appreciated
Based in Germany
