Responsibilities

Supporting all teams with architectural guidance
Working closely with software engineers and product managers to prioritize initiatives
Supporting team leads, development teams and product managers on technical routes
Supporting product managers to ensure correct backlog and roadmap priorities
Participating in decision making with key stakeholders
Participating in workshops, exercises, brainstorming, presentations and knowledge-transfer sessions
Participating in pre-solution work for new initiatives to outline high level solutions
Participating in design reviews to ensure adherence to established guidelines
Identifying refactoring activities to address technical debt, performance, scalability, availability, reliability and security
Supporting development teams and product owners to define relevant non-functional requirements (KPIs)
Cooperating with enterprise architects to align area solutions with company guidelines
Supporting development teams with architectural decisions, designs and high incidents
Benchmarking systems, analyzing bottlenecks and proposing solutions
Mentoring, guiding and leading junior team members

Requirements

Good understanding of new technology and its application to improve solutions and drive innovation
Good communication and collaboration skills
Experience with microservices and associated tools such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker and Kubernetes
Previous experience in building RESTful services and familiarity with best practices
Demonstrated expertise in building applications at scale
Strong knowledge of datastores (SQL, NoSQL) and ability to choose technology based on requirements
Experience with architectural patterns for high availability, performance, scale out architecture, disaster recovery and security architecture
Knowledge of cloud-based architectures, deployment and operational aspects of Amazon Web Services cloud
Technical mindset with great attention to detail
Product mindset in feature design considering future impact
