Responsibilities

Support architectural guidance for all teams in Betsson Group
Work closely with Software Engineers and Product Managers to prioritize short- and long-term initiatives
Collaborate with Area Architects and Team Leads
Ensure all initiatives align with the overall technical vision
Support Team Leads, Development Teams and Product Managers on technical routes
Support Product Manager in backlog and roadmap prioritization
Participate in decision making with key stakeholders
Participate in workshops, exercises, brainstorming, presentations and knowledge-transfer sessions
Participate in pre-solution work for new initiatives to outline high level solutions
Participate in design reviews to ensure adherence to established guidelines
Identify refactoring activities to address technical debt, performance, scalability, availability, reliability, and security
Support development teams and product owners in defining relevant NFRs (KPIs)
Cooperate with Enterprise Architects to align area solutions with company guidelines on integration patterns, data storage, orchestration, messaging, and other concerns
Support development teams in architectural decisions, designs and high incidents
Benchmark systems, analyze system bottlenecks and propose solutions
Mentor, guide and lead junior team members

Requirements

Good understanding of new technology and its application to improve solutions and drive innovation
Good communication and collaboration skills
Experience with microservices and associated tools such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker and Kubernetes
Previous experience in building RESTful services and familiarity with best practices
Demonstrated expertise in building applications at scale
Strong knowledge of datastores (SQL, NoSQL) and ability to choose technology based on requirements
Experience with architectural patterns for high availability, performance, scale out architecture, disaster recovery, security architecture
Knowledge of cloud-based architectures, deployment and operational aspects of Amazon Web Services cloud
Technical mindset with great attention to detail
Product mindset in feature design considering future evolution impact
