We're looking for professionals to join our US-based edutech company in Hungary, developing cloud-based software solutions. The company's flagship product has more than 40 million users and is used in more than 19,000 educational institutions.
Site Reliability Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pushing the boundaries of managing services at scale with a modern stack of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Vault, Terraform, Ruby, and Go.
- Automate and optimize service availability, scalability, performance, monitoring, and alerting by partnering with engineering teams.
- Educate and empower software engineers to think operationally in service design and operation.
- Development of software to automate the work required to keep our SaaS offerings highly available, scalable, and resilient, while also delivering rapid time to market.
- Build and maintain platforms and services that are used by internal teams.
- Build resilient and self-scale systems.
- Get hands-on experience building software with AWS and push the boundaries of cloud automation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- An eagerness to own and solve problems.
- Manage a 24x7 SaaS environment with impressive uptime.
- Experience with at least one cloud platform.
- Programmed in at least one modern language (Ruby, Python, Java, or Go).
- Expertise in containerizing (Docker) or orchestrating (Kubernetes, etc).
- In-depth understanding of configuration management, automation, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet).
- CI/CD experience (Jenkins, git, Argo, Spinnaker, GitHub Actions, AWS CodeDeploy, etc.)
- Open-minded, team-oriented, with a wide range of skills and interests.
- Excellent ability to communicate in both English and Hungarian.
