Responsibilities

Ensure timely filings of periodic complex returns for VAT, ESL for EU jurisdictions
Review the recurring balance sheet reconciliations for the VAT GL accounts and resolve discrepancies
Support/lead VAT audits in European countries
Assist the VAT manager with in-house VAT advisory activities
Support VAT related real time reporting requirements and SAP implementation (S4 roll-out)
Make recommendations on process improvements, standardization and simplifications
Participate in connected strategic projects
Make continuous improvement recommendations and execute ideas to create efficiencies
Support the VAT compliance transition from local sites and expansion of the team
Mentor junior colleagues
Keep up to date with regulations in the area of Indirect tax
Raise tax awareness of Finance, Operations and Commercial Teams, controllers and local business partners about VAT queries and developments

Requirements

Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or Tax and/or professional qualification
Minimum 5-8 years experience on VAT preparation and reconciliation
Strong knowledge of Indirect Tax in EMEA or some of its jurisdictions
Strong analytical skills
Able to meet deadlines and lead junior colleagues
Able to work flexibly in an ever-changing work environment
Proven track record of identifying and remediating problems and solving issues
Experienced user of Excel
Experience in SAP FI Module
Experience in process automation
Fluent in oral and written English
Independent in work, tolerance of monotony
Reliable and responsible for deliverables and deadlines
Accurate and timely
Service oriented
