Responsibilities

Technical expertise and influence across LLVM compiler development for Arm and upstream
Mentoring engineers inside the LLVM team and in the community
Representation of Arm in the LLVM ecosystem with leadership of upstream contributions
Partnership across internal Arm teams to define priorities and ensure technical alignment
Championing process and quality improvements in development workflows, profiling methodologies, and performance benchmarking

Requirements

Excellent programming skills in C/C++
LLVM open source community citizenship including code commits and reviews
Hands-on experience in analysing performance bottlenecks
Experience in low-level software or hardware development involving computer architecture specifications
Proficiency in software development and methodologies including coding, testing, debugging, reviewing
Effective communication skills to influence internal or external partners
Collaboration across teams and sites
Proactive problem-solving ability

Nice-to-have

Experience with Profile Guided Optimization (PGO)
Understanding of computer architecture
Familiarity with Agile software development methodology such as Scrum or Kanban
Familiarity with Linux performance analysis tools and system level performance tuning
Familiarity with build systems and CI
