Responsibilities

Embedding in the daily life of two engineering teams specialized in AML entity monitoring and device fingerprinting technology
Ensuring technical designs align with SEON's architectural best-practices, are pragmatic and complete
Ensuring security, scalability, and compliance in all technical designs
Collaborating with Tech Lead and Product Managers to solve business problems
Delivering proof-of-concept solutions for potential technical directions
Supporting estimation efforts during initiative planning
Contributing to initiative delivery via hands-on work when needed
Acting as a technical mentor to engineers within AML and Device Intelligence teams
Surfacing recurring architectural challenges to the centralized Architecture team and contributing to company-wide solutions
Documenting design decisions as Architecture Decision Records

Requirements

Strong working knowledge of modern web development technologies, specifically TypeScript and Python
Experience with distributed system design
Experience designing and scaling high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems
Strong understanding of web services and SaaS applications
Expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL or YugabyteDB
Experience with modern DevOps tools, particularly Kubernetes, Terraform, and ArgoCD
Strong understanding of data security best practices and designing systems compliant with strict data privacy standards such as GDPR
Strong organizational skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Nice-to-have

Familiarity with fraud prevention, AML, KYC, or cybersecurity domains, Experience with Kafka and Flink, Experience with native mobile development on iOS or Android, Experience with multiple database/search technologies, specifically Elasticsearch
