In this role You will:
- Execute and verify the settlement of various financial instruments.
- Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve settlement discrepancies and exceptions, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze existing settlement processes to identify areas for improvement,.Maintain a strong understanding of internal control frameworks and compliance requirements, ensuring all settlement activities are performed in accordance with established guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with front office trading teams, operations, finance, and other support functions to facilitate smooth transaction lifecycles.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new settlement procedures and systems, applying creative and innovative thinking to solve complex challenges.
- Proactively engage in thought leadership by staying abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements impacting settlements.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in a high-pressure environment.
What You will need to be successful:
- Proven experience in financial settlements.
- Strong analytical thinking skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in business process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
- A curious and innovative mindset, with a proactive approach to learning.
- A strong understanding of customer experience principles and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Sound decision-making abilities, even under pressure, with a focus on risk mitigation and compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of internal control frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proven ability to exhibit thought leadership, contributing new ideas and perspectives to improve processes and outcomes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial trading instruments and their associated settlement processes.
