We are looking for a 

Senior Revenue Accountant

for our Finance Department

 

Your place in the team 

Key representative of Revenue Accounting team in running and operating the revenue recognition process under IFRS 15 in order to secure completeness of the revenue chain and ensure proper revenue recognition. Contribute to the reporting and analysis of the company’s performance to contribution margin level.

We are looking for you if you have

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Finance
  • Over 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Good knowledge of international revenue recognition requirements and their practical application
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Office applications, especially in Excel.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive, visionary, team player
  • English (both written & oral)

 

You will be involved in the following tasks

  • Full scope control on the accounting of revenue related items, like: (postpaid / prepaid / visitor, incoming / outgoing) revenue flows under IAS18 and IFRS15 
  • Responsible for interconnect settlement and accounting 
  • Key point of contact process transformation projects and new process implementation
  • Determination of the accounting entries in accordance IFRS15
  • End to end outlook on different invoicing systems from setting up different charge codes to posting
  • Perform month end closing activities in line with Group Accounting Manual and other Group guidance:
    • Ensure preparation and execution of related manual journal entries
    • Complete required reconciliations and follow-up of any variances
    • Prepare and present revenue reports for management reviews
  • Collaborate with other Finance department to ensure that revenue posted and reported in line with internal analytical purposes (revenue restructuring, segmentation etc).  Contribute to investigate unusual variance during the month end closing process
  • Be involved in preparation of analysis showing profitability information on segments and individual tariffs and also provide ad-hoc analysis and on individual request.
  • Help to coordinate the alignment between actuals and budgets/forecasts to contribution margin level, a consistent updating of actual information and a common set of analysis for the business to understand performance.
  • Regular and ad-hoc reconciliations and reports, suggesting improvement opportunities
  • Support local system developments (billing system, local S15 engine) and secure data source availability.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and other internal controls within own area of responsibility 
  • Support of internal and external audits and other internal control processes
  • Key representative of Finance Operations in all Revenue Accounting related projects at Vodafone Hungary ensuring that accounting and TLS requirements are met in any new initiatives (e.g. product development, configuration changes, implementation of new system).
