Responsibilities

Development and refinement of core sports betting models for predicting match outcomes
Building and maintenance of player statistics models analyzing player performance
Design and implementation of risk management models to optimize exposure
Contribution to development of innovative market offerings including derivatives and micro-markets
Collaboration on modernization of modelling technologies and implementation of new tools
Contribution to development of new data-driven methodologies in sports betting analytics
Collaboration with data engineering team to optimize data storage and retrieval
Identification and collection of relevant data sources for model development
Documentation of model methodologies and communication of technical concepts
Collaboration with performance analysis team for model improvement

Requirements

PhD, Masters, or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering
Proficiency in C# and Python programming languages
Strong knowledge of statistical and machine learning modelling techniques
Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical information
Solid understanding of the sports betting industry, sports trading, and sports modelling
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with clear justifications
Proven experience in building and deploying mathematical models
Proficiency in data retrieval and statistical analysis
5+ years of experience in a quantitative role

Nice-to-have

Experience working in the sports betting industry
Mentoring and team leadership skills
Experience developing quantitative models using machine learning and AI
Strong knowledge and skills in data engineering including SQL
