Responsibilities

Lead and grow a high-performing Platform Engineering team responsible for cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and core infrastructure provisioning.
Champion a 'Platform as a Product' mindset, working with DevEx to identify and understand friction points and drive adoption of self-service tools.
Design and maintain 'Golden Paths'—standardized, automated templates for microservices and infrastructure for safe and quick deployment.
Drive platform strategy and manage roadmap balancing long-term architectural improvements with immediate tooling needs.
Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager to enforce reliability standards and facilitate 'Compliance by Design'.
Automate compliance and security controls (e.g., SOC2, ISO certifications) into delivery pipeline.
Oversee cloud architecture, managing AWS footprint for cost-efficiency, scalability, and governance.
Define and track success metrics such as DORA metrics and developer satisfaction scores.
Provide mentorship, performance reviews, and career development for Platform Engineering team members.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, advocating platform strategy and translating technical improvements into business value.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proven success in leading Platform Engineering or DevOps teams in large-scale, fast-paced environments.
Extensive experience with cloud-native architectures, specifically AWS and Kubernetes.
Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
Strategic vision balancing standardization (governance) with developer autonomy (innovation).
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with modern CI/CD and Observability ecosystems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
Excellent problem-solving skills focused on systemic improvements and root cause analysis.
Exceptional organizational skills managing multiple priorities and cross-functional projects.
