Responsibilities

Design and implement core authentication and authorization
Build and maintain the entitlement decision cache
Standardize API error handling with correlated request IDs
Configure Apigee for auth pass-through and rate limiting
Develop catalog APIs with entitled metadata exposure and full-text search
Build core data access endpoints with shared cursor-pagination and query-filter executor
Implement synchronous and asynchronous read paths through the Query Accelerator
Implement non-blocking usage-event emission and summary endpoint
Build the MCP tool-definition generator in sync with the OpenAPI contract
Contribute to API design during discovery including OpenAPI contract and auth architecture

Requirements

Hands-on experience building and deploying services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Familiarity with Cloud Run, IAM, Cloud Logging/Monitoring, and GCP networking
Strong core Java (17+) and modern JVM development
Experience with Quarkus or Spring Boot
REST API design and implementation
OpenAPI/contract-first development
Automated testing discipline with unit tests and integration testing
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployment
Ability and willingness to work within an AI-agent-first software development model
