Responsibilities
The Opportunity
In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of store demand forecasting, inventory planning, and in-season steering. You will work closely with commercial, logistics, and central planning teams to ensure optimal product availability while proactively managing risks and identifying opportunities for improvement.
This is a permanent position based in Munich, offering a flexible hybrid working model within a dynamic, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop demand forecasts and define seasonal pre-order quantities using historical data and performance insights
- Own in-season inventory steering for stores, balancing availability, productivity, and demand fluctuations
- Translate performance data into concrete commercial and operational actions such as replenishment adjustments, replacement strategies, and risk mitigation for overstock or shortages
- Optimise the end-to-end inventory and logistics flow, ensuring the right stock reaches the right stores at the right time
- Drive process excellence through automation, scalable workflows, and AI-supported solutions to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency
Requirements
Ideal Profile
- 5+ years' experience in inventory managemen t, demand planning, supply planning, or a comparable analytical/commercial role
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Retail Management, Business Administration, or similar
- Demonstrated success in building and improving forecasting models and inventory optimisation strategies
- Strong analytical capabilities with advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau or similar)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear business actions
- Structured, proactive, and solution-driven mindset with strong ownership mentality
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Commercial, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams
- Fluency in English and German
