Responsibilities

Building and optimizing scalable data warehousing and lakehouse solutions
Creating and owning robust ELT pipelines connecting multiple internal and external data sources
Designing and implementing data models aligned with industry best practices
Contributing to architectural decisions with senior-level technical depth
Tracking, structuring, and maintaining key business metrics and KPIs
Building and maintaining governance processes including data lineage, metadata, and quality monitoring
Implementing automated data quality checks, validation, and testing
Defining and enforcing data standards, naming conventions, and documentation practices
Partnering with Product, Operations, Finance, and other teams to understand data needs
Mentoring and guiding team members to elevate engineering standards
Translating business requirements into robust technical solutions
Ensuring compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards
Driving adoption of best practices across the organization

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on SQL experience including analytical queries and performance tuning
3+ years of designing and operating large-scale data warehouse systems
Strong knowledge of data modeling including dimensional modeling, schema design, and architecture patterns
3+ years of experience with a major cloud provider (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster
5+ years of real programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
Experience with modern cloud data platforms including Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, or BigQuery

Nice-to-have

Deep dbt experience including modeling, testing, CI/CD, and performance tuning, Hands-on experience integrating dbt with orchestration tools and cloud workflows, Ability to understand the business and translate needs into solutions, Snowflake expertise including data loading, table design, permission models, DDL/DML, and views, Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau including DAX and Power Query, Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or KDE, Streaming/Kafka experience including event driven architectures, real time data pipelines, schema design, and operating streaming systems at scale
