Tasks
- Stakeholder management: develop and maintain relevant partnerships internally and outside the organization
- Participate in techno commercial-engineering related decision making considering the purchasing cost and benefit expectations
- Define, design, and implement project buying strategy
- Execute with full ownership the end-to-end sourcing cycle from supplier qualification, tendering, supplier-selection, contracting and execution of the contract all through to fulfillment as per specific project needs in terms of price / quality / schedule
- Manage supplier relationship, monitor, and continuously improve their delivery and quality performance
- Claim management
- Continuously track the trends & changes on the supplier market and make this knowledge accessible to your internal stakeholders
- Participate in and support ongoing supply chain optimization initiatives and supply base optimization programs
- Provide insights to management regarding your contract’s progress and performance
What we expect
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
- Deep technical knowledge in direct commodities (steel, motors, drives, fan, pump, valve, instruments, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills in an international environment
- Experience in qualification and management of suppliers
- At least 10 years experience in direct purchasing for the mechanical category
- Contract law and legal requirements
- Highly collaborative, project management and moderation skill
- Problem-solving, analytical, and strong negotiation skills
- MS Office advanced and SAP knowledge
- Fluent English
- Willingness to travel
