Responsibilities
Understand data and reporting logic requirements and challenges from financial reporting teams
• Analyse existing SQL scripts to find solutions to complex problems
• Analyse data needs, identify data sources & facilitate the transition from legacy to standard data models
• Investigate and escalate data quality issues • Facilitate constructive dialogue between multiple departments at various levels of seniority to provide effective solutions to meet strategic data goals
• Liaise with both Finance and Technology teams to ensure requirements mean the same for everyone on data processes and structures
• Express a collaborative and motivating attitude to join forces with colleagues for excellent results and you are empowered to make decisions
• Benefit from your organized personality, attention to detail, analytical mindset and independent working style
• Use your experience and knowledge to drive and contribute to outstanding team performance
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position preferably possesses the following qualifications and skills:
• 10 years of work experience in data management, financial or risk reporting, accounting or system implementation roles
• SQL knowledge
• Familiarity with advanced data integration/transformation workflow tools (e.g. KNIME, Alteryx, Talend, Dataiku, Python, Power BI etc) is an advantage
• Experience with end-to-end project management
• Technology and/or Finance degree or advanced qualification
• Interpersonal skills, ability to manage stakeholder relationships across various levels of seniority using the English language
• Be proactive and good analytical skills
• Be able to break down information in a systematic and communicable manner
