Responsibilities

Build and evolve backend microservices in Go (new features, performance work, reliability improvements)
Work with production Python-based components when needed across the broader service landscape
Participate in architecture discussions and cross-team integrations
Perform code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and quality

Requirements

5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years commercial Go, with a background in high-load, production-critical systems
Senior-level Golang expertise
Strong SQL/PostgreSQL skills (ability to read/understand query plans and optimize performance; solid grasp of indexes and production behavior)
Practical Kafka experience and understanding of event-driven processing in real systems
Good understanding of microservices and REST/JSON APIs
Familiarity with services running in Kubernetes-based environments
Production-level exposure to Python systems
Strong ownership mindset
Engineering maturity: realistic estimates, thoughtful implementation, sufficient testing, and careful releases
English — Upper-Intermediate or higher
