Senior AP Accountant

• Review and verification of invoices for relevant documentation and approval before payment, formal and accounting verification of purchase invoices
• Independent and correct registration of purchase invoices in the books with the use of IT accounting systems
• Responding to all customer inquiries, e-mail correspondence and telephone contact with the customer beyond the scope of one' s postings/
• Help and support for other team members (including trainings), based on procedural knowledge and a deep understanding of the process
• Accurate documentation of processes in compliance with the company's policy and accepted accounting principles, providing documentation for control and preserving historical data through appropriate archiving of accounting documents and related documentation
• Identifying potential process improvements, taking care of the development and adjustments of the process and its appropriate documentation
• Solve and report any inconsistencies in the posting and process
• Replacing Team Leader in certain circumstances
• Good overview of all tasks in the team and control of the quality of performance of the team
• Other duties assigned by the manager (e.g. accounting for bank statements, preparation of account analysis, preparation of electronic transfers and cheques)

• From 3 to 4 years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year in AP, AR, or GL
• Advanced accounting knowledge demonstrated through qualifications or proven work experience
• Proficient in German and English (business communication level)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and methodical working style with high attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under time pressure, and meet deadlines
• Customer-oriented mindset with high professional standards and strong work ethic
• Clear and effective communication across all organizational levels
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Ability to critically review processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvement solutions
