Responsibilities

Role Mission Statement

The Business Development Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for Hungary-wide sales activities through the provision of analysis, reports, background information and communication in support of activities that will drive profitable growth across Hungary. Core elements of the role include the following:

  • Using your experience, relevant data and research, expand and develop the Services business in Hungary and across all industries.
  • Support the commercial activity ensuring G&P are tendering/growing in line with objectives
  • Support the review of current Product propositions and propose enhancements so that G&P can add further value, including adjacent and additional services.
  • Support the development of presentations as required to support the sales initiatives
  • Build and develop long lasting and trusting relationships with Customers and prospective decision-making units, ensuring G&P become the natural choice
  • Ensure a collaborative approach across all business functions to ensure business success via clear communication and teamwork.


Activities

  • Responsible for growing G&P’s market share.
  • Achieve the planned growth of the Company’s turnover and profitability by seeking out and winning new business utilising your own network as well as G&P’s current customer database/relationships.
  • Ensure strong meaningful relationships are built with key Accounts decision makers. Use personal relationships with customers senior Management to gain an understanding of current ongoing business and the potential for future business expansion.
  • Ensuring accurate on time sales forecasting to achieve the business financial performance objectives consistent with the group strategy and agreed BMI measures.
  • Constantly review and update benchmark position of G&P against competitors - use this information to support further developing the ongoing business strategy through identification of sales leads.
  • Responsible for sales activities, work closely with your functional peers, ensuring quotations and presentations are prepared well in advance of deadlines and ensuring all customer visits are documented through reports and the sales process.
  • Work hand in hand with Operations and HR to ensure the correct technical skills are recruited and retained and inefficiency minimised by new business being won.   
  • Ensure compliance with the Group commercial pricing and sales strategies, while working within within the corporate entertainment and gifts guidelines.


Conditions
The jobholder will be normally based mostly in the field or at Budapest based Head Office.

Requirements

  • University degree in Economics or Engineering,
  • English knowledge – negotiation level,
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar position,
  • Experience in automotive sector,
  • High level knowledge of MS Office,
  • Willingness to travel, undertaking foreign assignments as necessary,
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills,
  • Analytical skills, creativity, presentation skills,
  • Proactive, can-do attitude,
  • Type B driver’s license.

Nice-to-have

  • German language skills,
  • Experience in production,
  • Project management experience.
