Responsibilities
1. EHS Management & Compliance
Take overall responsibility for occupational health and safety management at the manufacturing site.
Develop, implement and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures and management systems.
Ensure compliance with applicable Hungarian and EU occupational health and safety legislation and company requirements.
Maintain EHS documentation, records and statutory compliance requirements.
2. Risk Assessment & Workplace Safety
Conduct regular workplace safety inspections, risk assessments and hazard identification.
Identify safety risks and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed in a timely manner.
Supervise safety requirements related to production equipment, machinery, electrical systems, fire protection and workplace activities.
3. High-Risk Work Management
Establish and supervise safety requirements for high-risk activities.
Manage and monitor lifting operations, hot work, work at height, confined space work and temporary electrical work.
Ensure appropriate risk assessments, permits and safety measures are implemented before and during high-risk activities.
4. Safety Training & Emergency Management
Organize and conduct safety training, employee onboarding and regular safety awareness programs.
Coordinate emergency preparedness, fire drills and emergency response activities.
Promote a strong safety culture and improve employees' safety awareness and behavior.
5. Incident Investigation & Prevention
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and identify root causes.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Follow up on improvement actions and ensure effective closure to prevent recurrence.
6. EHS Audit & Performance Management
Support and coordinate internal, customer and external EHS audits.
Ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
Monitor EHS KPIs and regularly report safety performance, risks and improvement actions to management.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate EHS activities with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, HR and other departments.
Communicate with authorities, external EHS service providers and other relevant stakeholders.
Drive the effective implementation of EHS requirements across the organization.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in occupational health and safety / EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Relevant professional qualifications and valid safety-related certificates required under Hungarian legislation.
- Solid knowledge of Hungarian and EU occupational health and safety regulations.
- Practical experience in workplace risk assessment, hazard identification, safety inspections and accident investigation.
- Experience in safety management within a manufacturing, automotive, battery, metal processing or similar industrial environment is an advantage.
- Fluent English is mandatory and required as a working language, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with different departments and levels of management.
- Strong execution and follow-up skills, with the ability to identify problems, coordinate relevant departments and drive corrective actions to completion.
- Proactive, responsible and well-organized working attitude.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Experience with ISO 45001 or other EHS management systems is an advantage.
Nice-to-have
Work experience in a manufacturing company is a plus.
