Responsibilities

  • Role Overview

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join the Record-to-Report (R2R) team. In this role, you will be involved in a broad spectrum of accounting activities, from general ledger management to month-end closing, while ensuring compliance with internal policies, international standards, and Hungarian accounting regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Core Accounting Activities

    • Perform end-to-end general ledger accounting tasks
    • Post journal entries related to fixed assets
    • Actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
    • Process bank statements and perform account reconciliations
    • Record manual adjustments, accruals, and corrections
    • Support ad hoc accounting tasks as assigned by team leads

    Cross-functional Collaboration

    • Cooperate with other finance and operational teams during process transitions
    • Provide support in invoice posting, master data maintenance, and payment proposal preparation
    • Assist with inventory-related accounting entries

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day accounting issues
    • Maintain internal documentation and knowledge repositories
    • Follow up on open items and pending requests
    • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
    • Support internal and external audit activities
    • Prepare reports and ensure data accuracy and ledger consistency

Requirements

  • What We're Looking For

    • 1-4 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role
    • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is a plus
    • Solid knowledge of Hungarian accounting principles
    • Confident user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • At least intermediet command of English, both written and spoken
    • Experience with ERP systems
    • High level of accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong numerical skills and effective communication abilities
