Role Value Proposition:

Compliance Risk Management (CRM) delivers a compliance risk framework that enables the businesses and functions to comply with applicable internal and external rules and regulations and maintain risk levels within MetLife’s risk appetite. CRM provides constructive challenge to the businesses and functions, partnering closely with them to implement strong processes and effective controls, as well as to foster and embed a culture of compliance. CRM is part of Global Risk Management (GRM).

 

The Risk Management Function works with the organization to identify, aggregate, measure, report and manage risks across the company. It is led by the Chief Risk Officer (‘CRO’). The team collaborates with the Executive Management Team to embed the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and promote a proactive and open risk culture.

 

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience working in an international environment and work in a Compliance function whose standards are considered “best in class” from a global perspective. This position will give you an opportunity to interact with the Compliance and Risk Management teams in European branches and with US regional teams, as well as all stakeholders across the business in Hungary. This role will suit someone who takes a positive, and proactive approach to work, is decisive and is eager to learn, challenge the status quo, take ownership, and develop his/her skills during their time working in MetLife.

  • Support and deliver the annual Compliance Testing and Monitoring Plan mainly in the areas of money-laundering, corruption, privacy and sales practices
  • Support Operation and Business areas to be in line with the legislation, Regulatory requirements and corporate policies
  • Prepare regular risk and compliance reports
  • Provide assistance with the annual review of existing Compliance policies and conduct gap analysis, if necessary    
  • Organize Compliance and Risk trainings to local stakeholders as necessary
  • Regular contact with the regional Compliance and Risk teams, participation in regional projects
  • Support the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer in terms of various Compliance and Risk Management tasks and administration
  • College and/or university degree applicable in finance industry (economics, legal, international relations etc.)
  • 1-3 years of experience gained in the finance industry in risk, compliance or audit area.
  • Fresh graduates with strong risk & compliance interest are also welcome.
  • Fluent English is a must! (at least B2 level, but C1 is preferred)
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • A process-oriented approach.
  • Initiative and proactive personality with effective problem-solving skills.
  • Able to follow and understand the business processes.
  • Presentation skills in both English and Hungarian.
  • Experience in the insurance sector.
  • Experience in multinational organizations.
