Responsibilities
Your role
To strengthen the highly qualified Regulatory Relations EMEA team we are looking for a Regulatory Relations Manager. In this role, you will be working in a dynamic and agile team and have pronounced visibility towards senior management, including the Management Board of UBS Europe SE, as well as a direct relationship with the European Central Bank. In particular, you will:• be part of a team responsible for effectively coordinating and managing the relationship between UBS Europe SE and the European Central Bank, BaFin, and Deutsche Bundesbank regarding all prudential supervisory interactions and responses to regulatory requests and inquiries
• take over a defined coverage area within the team, with a focus on supervisory requests in area of non-financial risk control (Compliance, financial crime, and operational risks), legal, and human resources
• globally communicate with the Regulatory Affairs teams in Switzerland, the UK, the US and in APAC as well as with the local UBS regulatory managers across EMEA locations to ensure a consistent approach to regulatory issues
• proactively engage with, brief, and advice senior management, particularly relevant Management Board member on regulatory interactions within your coverage, and help to formulate an appropriate approach for regulatory communication
• provide guidance and advice key stakeholders to react to, and deliver against regulatory requests and exercises
• monitor the execution and implementation of remedial supervisory actions and provide strategic guidance in relation to preparation for supervisory reviews
• act as topic coordinator and point of contact within global topic related networks of Regulatory and Governmental Affairs teams
Your team
The Group Compliance, Regulatory & Governance (GCRG) function is the competence center for Compliance and Operational Risk Control, Governmental and Regulatory Affairs as well as Investigations and Governance matters. The Regulatory Relations EMEA team is responsible for the full regulatory management related to the direct supervision of UBS Europe SE as a significant institution on prudential topics.
Requirements
• a university degree (at least 2:1 or the equivalent) in any field of study. Your experience and dedication matter
• several years of professional working experience in the financial services sector, ideally in supervision or project management, either in a supervisory authority or the regulatory affairs department of banking institutions
• a sound understanding of the financial sector regulatory landscape and developments and related concepts
• knowledge on non-financial risk related topics. Familiarity with Wealth Management or Investment Bank business might be an advantage
• an ability to work with experts across locations and functions; in particular with experts in regulatory, legal, compliance, and governance fields as well as with business representative
• excellent proficiency in spoken and written English
