Responsibilities

You will be part of the global C&U R&D team with focus on machine tools and bearing applications
According to customers requirements formulation product specifications and methods
You are also co-responsible for the design
You will be mainly responsible for creating design guidelines and support the knowledge management on high precision bearings inside C&U R&D
Planning and implementation of product research and development in this field
Analysis and application of product patents
Implementation of product technical training courses

Requirements

Bachelor/Master Degree or higher (mechanical engineering, machine tool engineering, or related technical disciplines eg. automobile)
>5 years experience on bearing design maybe with specialization on machine tools or high speed bearings
Multiple years experience in high precision, high speed spindle applications preferably
Strong mechanical design skills, including experience in tribology
Experience on high precision/ machine tool bearing manufacturing and testing process would be a plus
Experience on CAD design tools
Must be proficient with the MS office package
Must have personality traits that include integrity, tenacity, perseverance, empathy and a can-do, positive attitude
Solid communication skills (both written/verbal) in English, preferably ability to speak also in German or Chinese
