University degree preferably: Food engineer,Bioengineer, Chemical engineer
5-6 years of relevant work experience
Advanced level of English
Team leader skills
Knowledge / experience of stores operations, in manufacturing and/or product development
Knowledge of food and consumer protection legislation
Customer focused
Flexible approach

WHAT THE JOB IS ABOUT

This position is leading the quality control and operational standards team in Hungary and it's leading selected project inside Quality team.
It's responsible for complex agenda of food and product safety and consumer protection area including state authorities' controls and challenges, EPW process and also for implementation of legislative requirements in these areas across whole business. This role is also accountable for management of environmental fees for CZ business, internal food safety audit system and pest control system.

managing in country DC Quality Control and OPS teams
ensuring QC teams allow only receiving of the FF goods that comply with company specifications
cooperation with other CE Quality Control & Operational Standards Managers on processes development and projects
leading the appropriate legal, Food safety and store standards policies in country
liaising with external organizations (e.g. Retail associations, Ministry, State agencies ...) to improve our trading environment, legislation, etc.
providing expert advice and direction to the business on complex commercial and operational issues
managing 3rd party suppliers of services (e.g. stores auditing), evaluating of their performance and KPIs delivery
resolving issues with state enforcement bodies, regular visits of State Authorities to discuss issues and give updates on Tesco business
management of the emergency product withdrawals in OPS team
monitoring and implementation of new legislation related to Food safety
visiting stores and distribution centers to identify opportunities or risks in Food safety
reviewing performance data and reports related to Food safety and enforcement challenges. Propose actions to the business and escalate potential risks in country
liaising with other departments (Legal, Product, Stores operations) in order to deliver Food safety agenda and limit the risks for the company
producing and advising on training and operational procedures and documents
management of the process of customer complaints related to food safety
managing the recycling fees and environmental fees agenda for all company
