Responsibilities

Management of a team of talented QA engineers
Overall responsibility for the QA automation framework and manual testing strategy for mobile platforms
Ensuring smooth functioning of technical operations
Monitoring and evaluating team members' technical progress
Assisting with training and recruitment
Setting goals and ensuring overall user satisfaction
Providing platform and support for team career development
Active participation as a hands-on member of the team
Building a high performing team through recruitment, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and continuous improvement
Setting and implementing a technical strategy for the platform
Driving and facilitating the team’s delivery to production in terms of time and quality
Fostering a team culture of ownership, collaboration, and passion for delivering quality products
Motivating the team to maintain high technical standards for reliability and uptime
Collaborating with wider technical leadership for architectural direction and alignment
Facilitating discussion, decision making, knowledge sharing, planning and conflict resolution
Ensuring team processes and routines are defined, organised, reviewed and optimised
Resolving or escalating impediments to team performance
Serving as main point of contact for the team and facilitating communication and coordination
Defining and communicating team responsibilities with delegation
Splitting time between technical leadership activities and technical work

Requirements

Strong technical background in QA automation and processes
Technical proficiency with Selenium-Java, Rest-assured, Appium, TestNG/Junit, CI/CD, TestRail
Experience in designing architectural QA automation frameworks for mobile apps
Experience and passion for coaching and mentoring people
Knowledge and experience with modern agile software development practices and CI/CD
Strong organisational and planning skills with focus on execution and delivery

Nice-to-have

Experience delivering software as an Agile Lead / Scrum Master / Manager in a technically complex environment
Working experience with geographically distributed teams
Prior experience in the gaming industry
Clear verbal and written communication
