Purchase to Pay Accountant

The main purpose of the AP Accountant is to process and handle supplier payments for both purchase order related and non-purchase order related payables and manage complex reconciliation activities.

About the job

  • Checking and matching invoice to purchase order

  • Booking the invoices to ledger

  • Supplier statement reconciliations and correct errors

  • Ledger reconciliation

  • Control the physical flow of an invoice in the approval process

  • Follow up on GIT, GRNI, PPV

  • Process master file amendments according to instructions

  • Co-operate with queries from third parties

  • To understand and follow all the processes in the AP manual, meeting SOX, ISO and audit requirements

  • To inform senior management of any irregularities or concerns

  • To attend training courses as directed 

  • Handle special invoices (custom, agent, split, WHT tax)

  • Ledger accuracy

  • Aged item clearing

  • Ad-hoc tasks, everything else what the supervisor assigns to the job owner.

What we are looking for

  • Economics or Finance & Accounting BA/BSc degree

  • 1 year of relevant experience

  • Fluency in English & Hungarian (both written and verbal)

  • Confident Excel & MS Office skills

  • Outstanding attention to detail

  • Developed analytical, Excellent interpersonal & Problem solving skills

Nice to have:

  • ERP system knowledge

  • Other European language knowledge is an advantage
