Proposal Engineer

Job Purpose:

Drive European Industry project proposals from initial customer request to submission, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction through negotiations with sales representatives.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

Act as a proposal manager, coordinating, and administering project proposals from inception to completion.
Interpret and clarify technical, contractual, and commercial terms to meet customer requirements while managing risks to Grundfos.
Coordinate work plans to offer tailored solutions based on customer needs and specifications.
Lead internal presentation of proposals for review and approval in line with governance requirements.
Utilize technical knowledge of industrial applications, Grundfos and 3rd party products to professionally represent to customers.
Develop pre-bid stages including definition, planning, solution development, procurement, and risk assessment.
Adhere to business processes and IT systems.
Handle customer issues, working closely with the Delivery Team.
Ensure smooth handover of won bids to the project delivery team.
Maintain communication with Sales Engineers on opportunities and quotations.

Requirements:

Degree level in either Engineering, Project Management or Business with 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a large international company.
Advanced knowledge of tendering procedures.
Ability to interpret drawings, engineering specifications, and contracts.
English proficiency.
Experience quoting projects in a technically complex environment on time, cost, and quality.
Good business and technical understanding with advanced communication skills.
Knowledge of pumps, dosing, disinfection systems, and contract negotiations.
Familiarity with project competencies - technical expertise, finance, logistics, contracts, quality, Health & Safety, ISO norms, export regulations.
Stakeholder management skills across borders and at all levels.
Experience with CRM/SAP PS/BW, Office package, and Project management tools.
