We are looking for a disciplined Project Manager to lead business improvement and application development initiatives within our financial services framework. In this role you will act as the strategic interface between business units (Front/Middle Office) and IT delivery teams, ensuring that all technical solutions meet the rigorous security, stability and regulatory standards of the financial industry.

  • Financial project governance: you will drive the end-to-end lifecycle of application development and process optimization projects using industry-standard methodologies

  • Strategic stakeholder management: you will mediate between business product owners, internal IT infrastructure teams, and third-party financial software providers to align technical roadmaps with commercial goals

  • Engineering requirements and compliance: you will elicit complex business demands, provide expert review of functional specifications to ensure that they meet both user needs and internal audit/risk requirements

  • Documentation and audit readiness: you will prepare meticulous project documentation, including specifications and risk registers, ensuring all artifacts are compliant with financial sector reporting standards

  • Incident and release coordination: you will manage the escalation and resolution of critical system errors (tickets) originating from business fields, ensuring minimal impact on financial operations and SLAs

  • Executive decision support: you will synthesize complex project data into high-level presentations and decision sheets for Steering Committees and senior leadership

  • Studies and experience: degree in IT or finance is a must together with minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT Project Management, preferably within banking, insurance or fintech environments

  • Background knowledge: familiarity with financial workflows (e.g. consumer lending, car leasing, transaction processing, regulatory reporting, etc.) is highly desirable

  • Communication skills: advanced and active English proficiency with "self-assertion" skills necessary to manage expectations of high-pressure business stakeholders

  • Negotiation skills: ability to hold external IT vendors accountable to strict SLAs

It is a full-time job at a central location in Budapest.

You can work in a friendly and cooperative team with 2 days of home office per week.
