Project Cost Controller / Engineer - Automotive Industry

As a Project Cost Engineer you are responsible for the financial management and monitoring of customer projects. You will closely accompany projects from the quotation phase through final costing to the handover to production plants, ensuring that economic targets are met and risks/deviations are identified early and adjusted as best as possible. You will work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Project Management, and Product Line Managers.

Key Tasks:

• Commercial Evaluation of acquisition projects, including quotation calculation, profitability analyses, and scenario calculations
• Final costing and variance analyses at different project phases, including a final costing for handover to the plant. Always keeping lessons learned and improvement of the quotation process in mind
• Close collaboration with Sales, Project Management, and technical departments
• Identification and assessment of project risks and derivation of measures to minimize risks
• Support in the further development of controlling tools and processes
• Reporting to management and preparation of decision-relevant information

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in Project Cost Engineer or Project Controlling, ideally in the automotive or supplier industry
• Solid knowledge of Product Costing, calculation, and project evaluation
• Technical understanding is a clear advantage
• Confident handling of SAP, Excel, and BI tools (ideally Siemens Team Center)
• Analytical thinking, structured working style, and strong affinity for numbers
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary project teams
• Excellent English skills, German is a plus
