Product Engineer
Job responsibilities
- Provides product knowledge support during the prototype, pre-series and serial manufacturing phases of key projects
- Coordinates and works closely with the remote product design team to support Manufacturing and Quality on-site
- Supports sample product builds, gathers and analyizes measurement data
- Performs electrical and mechanical tests
- Supports root cause analysis
- Maintains engineering documentation: mechanical / electrical design / drawings, performance characteristics / datasheets , DFMEA and support for other QA tools, etc.
- Uses Design for Six Sigma tools and basic design principles to improve on existing products
Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc degree in mechatronics or similar / relevant fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineer, etc.
- Profficient English language skills in written and verbal
- Know-how of engineering principles, electrical and/or mechanical design and development
- Switching technology knowledge and/or experience in electrical/mechanical measurements are an advantage
- CAD knowledge (eg. Solidworks) is an advantage, technical drawing reading skill is a must.
- DFSS tool knowledge is an advantage.
- Team player, proactive and customer focused personality
- Problem solving skills, creativity.
- Willingness to travel (Europe, occasionally, including initial trainings in Germany)
