Responsibilities

Management and enhancement of strategic sourcing initiatives
Management of required supplier capabilities and performance for assigned projects and categories
Collaboration with cross-functional teams
Development of sourcing strategies
Negotiation of contracts
Management of supplier relationships
Identification of supplier capability requirements and selection of suppliers
Management of procurement and supply base related projects
Support of divisional footprint initiatives outsourcing/insourcing including realization of local/regional supply base solutions
Translation of divisional requirements for supplier capabilities and supplier performance to Category Management Team and divisional SQE team
Support of supplier supply capacity management by conducting capacity assessments and collaboration with Category Management Teams
Coordination of business projects such as M&A integration
Collection of supplier technical capability requirements for current and future product portfolio
Gathering of Division business requirements and assurance of compliance to regulatory requirements
Serving as point of contact for Procurement within the Division
Contribution to divisional procurement metrics for business reviews
Ensuring implementation of Enterprise Processes such as Supplier Quality, Supplier Risk and Supplier Management
Driving and tracking compliance for indirect materials and linking with Global team for policies and procedures
Representation of Procurement in NPI projects and coordination of supply base related activities with cross-functional division team and Category Managers
Conducting sourcing project management activities including project milestone/gate pass activities
Partnership with Category Managers, R&D, Engineering to support and project manage annual value improvements and drive competitive advantage
Use of scouting approach to influence R&D and Commercial partners earlier in NPI process, monitoring product pipeline, and support of product platforming

Requirements

Advanced degree plus 3 years of experience or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of procurement/sourcing experience in mid to large multinational companies
Strong category management expertise
Preferred fields of study in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field
Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, CPM are desirable
Proven success executing strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management
Experience working in regulated industries like life sciences, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals preferred
Strong analytical and data-driven decision making capabilities
Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems, spend analytics, and procurement tools
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Strong project management capabilities
Fluency in English
Comprehensive understanding of procurement best practices, processes and methodologies
Experience with continuous improvement/lean methodologies
Ability to travel 25-50% as required
