Responsibilities

Own the technical roadmap for core C++ video frameworks, ensuring modularity, scalability, and optimization for local and distributed environments
Write and review high-performance, multithreaded C++ code
Leverage deep knowledge of video codecs and containers using FFmpeg to solve synchronization and transcoding challenges
Lead technical discussions and contribute to design decisions
Mentor Senior and Mid-level engineers
Partner with product teams and customers to refine and deliver solutions for live global sports

Requirements

Mastery of modern C++ (ideally up to C++20) with extensive experience writing multithreaded, performance-optimized code
Significant experience with video, including using FFmpeg and understanding compression standards and bitstreams
Proven leadership ability to lead people and technical directions
Comfort with Git, Visual Studio, and advanced debugging workflows for complex distributed systems
Proactive problem-solving mindset and eagerness to contribute to continuous improvement

Nice-to-have

Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda) or other cloud providers, containerization and elastic video orchestration, Knowledge of GPU acceleration (NVIDIA NVENC/NVDEC), network protocols (SRT, RIST, WebRTC), or libraries like Qt and OpenGL, Passion for sport or experience in high-performance environments where reliability is critical

Salary Banding: HUF 1.8M - HUF 2.5M per month
