Responsibilities

Working with cutting edge technology enabling cloud journey
Managing infrastructure as code for parts of core platform layer including Kubernetes clusters, message broker backends, infrastructure tooling
Providing a distributed runtime platform ensuring optimal performance of business web applications, APIs and backend services
Building infrastructure platforms as self-service to developers
Providing guidance and tooling for developers to self-manage applications cross environments
Continuously improving and developing platforms based on business needs
Analysing, diagnosing and solving issues of efficiency, performance and scale
Collaborating cross functional with colleagues from different teams
Managing container platform and Kafka messaging platform

Requirements

Strong knowledge and experience in setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters
Experience with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE
Strong knowledge and experience of managing Kafka infrastructure in a geo-distributed setup
Administration and configuration of Kafka service
Managing cloud infrastructure via infrastructure as code using Terraform
Good understanding of Terraform modules and workflows
Experience working with cloud providers, preferably AWS
Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, ALBs, VPC, and EKS
Experience in building scalable and distributed infrastructure
Experience in using versioned source control to manage code changes
Familiarity with open-source monitoring stack of Prometheus/Grafana
Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, Powershell or similar
Experience in using and managing Linux distributions
Excellent problem-solving skills
Knowledge of best practices in IT operations such as ITIL and DevOps principles
Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
On-call support schedule participation
