Your role

You are motivated to conduct high-level scientific research and to publish in high quality academic journals. The focus of the research will be in digital innovation management, particularly in the context of mobility. In addition to research and publication as per the PhD program, you will be involved in teaching activities as a teaching assistant and in applied research projects conducted with industry partners.

This position is part of the DIZH bridge professorship between the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and the University of Zurich (UZH). You will work on research projects aimed at understanding the strategies, processes and skills that enable firms to innovate in the digital economy, particularly in the areas of mobility and transportation. As a PhD Student, you will become part of the PhD program offered by the Graduate School of Business at the University of Zurich. You will conduct research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thierry Volery (ZHAW) and Prof. Dr. Anja Schulze (University of Zurich)

Your profile

• A university graduate degree in Business Administration with a distinction (magna cum laude), Economics or a related field
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Motivation to work in an interdisciplinary team and across institutions
• Experience in conducting empirical research (exemplified by a master thesis) is an asset
