Responsibilities

Oracle Database administration

Installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of Oracle Database software
Ensuring high availability and performance of critical databases
Administration of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN
Performing regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery tests
Database performance tuning, capacity planning, and health monitoring
Applying PSU / RU patches, managing Oracle lifecycle and EOL processes
Implementing database security controls, user management, and audit compliance
Incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
Supporting regulatory and internal audits (including MNB-related requirements)

Linux system administration

Administration of Linux servers (Red Hat / Oracle Linux) supporting Oracle databases
Managing filesystem, storage mounts, permissions, services, and cron jobs
OS-level performance monitoring and troubleshooting
Applying OS patches and security updates in line with banking standards
Supporting HO–DR (Head Office – Disaster Recovery) environments and DR exercises
Automation of routine tasks using shell scripting
Virtualization experience, especially VMware (vSphere / ESXi)

Collaboration

Close cooperation with IT Operations, Application (e.g. WebLogic), Network, and Security teams
Supporting critical banking applications from both DB and OS perspectives
Maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database administration
In-depth knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN
Solid Linux system administration skills (Red Hat / Oracle Linux)
Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g. Oracle Enterprise Manager)
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing concepts)
Experience working in regulated / high-availability environments (banking or financial sector preferred)
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of systems
Good communication skills and teamwork mindset

Nice-to-have

Experience with Oracle WebLogic environments
Familiarity with automation or configuration management tools
Knowledge of security hardening and compliance frameworks
