Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operational activities across projects, ensuring agreed scope, quality, timing, and financial performance (P&L)
Lead the operational start-up and ramp-up of new projects, defining manpower, equipment, and processes
Act as the key technical and operational interface for OEM, Tier 1, and Tier 2 customer quality departments
Oversee and coordinate customer claim management and structured problem-solving processes (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why)
Prepare manpower and operational cost calculations to support commercial quotations and proposals
Monitor operational KPIs (productivity, efficiency, quality, response time) and maintain executive dashboards
Establish operational standards, control plans, inspection standards, and work instructions
Drive continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) and support process digitalization and AI adoption to improve efficiency
Ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable HSE regulations

Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Operations, or a related technical field
Minimum 5 years of experience in Automotive Quality Engineering or Operations (OEM / Tier 1 supplier environment)
Fluent Hungarian and professional business English communication skills
Strong hands-on knowledge of automotive quality problem-solving tools (8D, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, CAPA)
ISO 9001 standard proficiency and process auditing experience
Proven track record in team management, project start-ups, or containment/rework project management
Strong financial and business acumen (costing, budget/profitability monitoring, KPI management)
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and customer-oriented leadership skills
Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel) and Power BI experience

Nice-to-have

Deep knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards
Expertise in Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP), Lean Management, or Six Sigma
Experience in Resident Engineering or Supplier Quality Management (SQM)
Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) for reporting and analytics
