Responsibilities

Production Management:

Develop and execute the production schedule to meet targets for output, quality, and delivery timelines.
Monitor production metrics, track KPI performance, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Oversee day-to-day production operations, managing resources to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

2. Team Leadership and Development:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse production team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance reviews, establish training programs, and implement personnel development plans to build a skilled, adaptable team.

3. Quality Control and Safety:

Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in all production areas.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that production standards align with industry requirements, including ISO, and other relevant standards.
Oversee troubleshooting and corrective action processes for any quality issues, implementing preventive actions to minimize recurrence.

4. Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:

Lead and support lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and other process improvement initiatives to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
Work with engineering to improve equipment performance, implement technology upgrades, and develop automation solutions where appropriate.
Identify and address bottlenecks in the production process to maximize throughput.

5. Inventory and Resource Management:

Oversee material and inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels of raw materials and finished goods.
Collaborate with the supply chain and procurement departments to manage vendor relationships and secure reliable, high-quality materials.
Monitor and manage production expenses, aiming to reduce costs while maintaining product quality

6. Reporting and Compliance:

Prepare and present regular reports on production activities, issues, and achievements to senior management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and industrial regulations, including waste management and emission standards specific to lithium battery production.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and process improvement.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to make data-driven decisions and handle complex production challenges effectively.

Nice-to-have

Experience in a similar high-tech industry.
Strong knowledge processes and associated safety standards.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
Proficiency in additional languages besides English, such as Chinese, is an advantage.
