Responsibilities

Your Role
As Operations Director, you will have full responsibility for managing and developing operational activities across mainly in Hungary and in case of remote projects also: SK, CZ, PL, and RO.
You will build and lead the Hungarian operations, also multi-country task force teams, run parallel projects, and ensure fast, reliable execution of short- and mid-term quality projects at customer sites.
You will play a key role in:

Leading operational execution
Building country-level structures for individual projects
Ensuring consistent service quality across borders

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Build and lead a strong, flexible, reliable team that will help to run the projects.
Lead and coordinate sorting, rework, and firewall projects across multiple countries, main focus is Hungary.
Manage parallel projects running simultaneously in different locations.
Ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery

Project & Team Management

Build and manage local teams of typically 5–20 inspectors per project plus the necessary indirect structure.
Oversee project durations ranging from 1 to 6 months
Assign team leaders, ensure staffing, shifts, and capacity planning
Support on-site team leaders and project coordinators

Regional Structure Building

Develop and standardize operational structures for project execution in each country
Support local entities or partners with processes, reporting, and execution standards
Ensure alignment with redi-Group operational and quality standards

Customer & Stakeholder Interface

Act as senior operational contact for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
Support escalation management and critical quality situations
Cooperate closely with sales, HR, and country management teams

Continuous Improvement

Optimize operational processes, KPIs, and reporting
Share best practices across countries and projects
Support growth and scalability of redi-Group’s Eastern European operations

Requirements

Experience

Proven experience in operations management, preferably in:
- Automotive quality services
- Sorting / rework / firewall activities
- Industrial or manufacturing support services
Strong background in multi-country or regional operations in Eastern Europe
Experience managing short-term, high-intensity projects

Leadership & Skills

Strong people leadership and task force management skills
Excellent organizational and decision-making abilities
Comfortable working in fast-changing, high-pressure environments
Ability to manage multiple parallel projects across borders

Languages

English – fluent (mandatory)
Additional languages (Hungarian, Slovak, Czech, or German) are a strong advantage

Mobility

Willingness to travel frequently across Eastern Europe
Flexible and hands-on leadership approach
Residence: Hungary
