Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D CAD designs and prototypes using Autodesk Inventor and 3D printing technologies.
  • Develop and validate assembly concepts, with a focus on manufacturability, efficiency and process robustness.
  • Design and develop jigs, fixtures and assembly aids to support and optimize production processes.
  • Plan and execute hands-on trials and test setups to validate buildability and assembly feasibility in line with DfA principles.
  • Take ownership of buildability assurance and evaluate design changes from a production perspective, acting as the “voice of production.”
  • Identify and implement improvements to product designs and assembly processes, focusing on quality, cost and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with lead engineers, quality management, production and suppliers to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Support NPI projects from concept and prototyping through validation and successful transfer into production.

Requirements

  • Degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, manufacturing engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years practical experience in mechanical design, fixture/tooling design, industrialization or production engineering, ideally in an NPI environment.
  • Strong 3D CAD skills, preferably Autodesk Inventor, plus experience with prototyping and 3D printing.
  • Experience with jig & fixture design, assembly and joining technologies, and a solid understanding of DfA.
  • Strong hands-on mentality, combined with analytical and solution-oriented thinking.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production-oriented design.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, production, quality and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
  • Confident Hungarian and English, both written and spoken. German is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license are required.
