Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day financial operations (invoicing, settlements, query handling)
- Overseeing intercompany reconciliations and postings
- Balance sheet reconciliations, including AR/AP-related activities
- Supporting monthly and quarterly close processes
- Monitoring and reporting KPIs
- Managing discrepancies and disputed items, including escalation
- Participating in continuous improvement (CI), process optimization, and automation initiatives
- Leading projects (group-related projects)
Requirements
Requirements
- 2-3 years of accounting and/or finance experience
- SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Intercompany and balance sheet reconciliation experience is essential
- Basic tax knowledge (e.g. US vs EU differences)
- English proficiency
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- Team player with high workload tolerance, especially during closing periods

Role overview
The primary focus of the role is the management, reconciliation, and control of intercompany financial transactions within the BP Trading & Shipping business, ensuring accurate accounting and compliance with internal policies and controls.
