Creating the architecture and detailed design of HIL environments for embedded space systems
Integrating and maintaining HIL environments for embedded space systems
Integrating hardware components, simulators and software into cohesive systems
Supporting integration of development boards and subsystem-level hardware
Performing and supporting system-level debugging across hardware and software boundaries
Building and maintaining laboratory infrastructure including wiring, instrumentation and setups
Developing internal tools and scripts to interact with and control HIL systems
Collaborating closely with software engineers to enable hardware-in-the-loop workflows
Taking ownership of reliability, maintainability and scalability of HIL environments
Creating and maintaining technical documentation and system-level descriptions

Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of relevant industry experience
Strong system-level thinking and ability to understand complex systems end-to-end
Hands-on experience with hardware systems and laboratory work
Solid understanding of electronics including analogue and digital fundamentals
Ability to read and interpret block schematics, electronics circuit drawings and PCB layouts
Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers
Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language
Experience with communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet
Familiarity with measurement tools such as oscilloscope and logic analyser
Strong debugging skills across software and hardware domains
Proactive mindset with a problem-solving attitude
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines

Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems or real-time simulation
Experience with system validation, testing, or test environment development
Background in space systems, aerospace, or other safety-critical domains
Familiarity with satellite subsystems such as EPS, OBDH, or AOCS
Experience with space communication technologies such as SpaceWire and CAN-based system
Working knowledge of C in an embedded context
Experience with real-time or embedded operating systems such as RTEMS or Embedded Linux
Experience with automation, CI/CD, or hardware-integrated development workflows
Experience with ECAD tools such as Altium Designer or PCB design
Experience with MATLAB / Simulink for system modelling, simulation, or control development
Knowledge of ECSS or similar space industry standards
Experience building production-grade engineering or lab infrastructure
